I received this prayer wheel in one of my classes and wanted to share it with you all. There isn’t just one way to pray but if you’re unsure of how to, feel free to try this. It will definitely change your prayer life.
1. LOVING FATHER RELATIONSHIP:
• Jesus wants us to come to Him as His child.
• Matthew 18:3 “Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven”
• Luke 11:13, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?”2. PRAISE:
• Psalm 22:3; 63:3
• Hebrews 13:15
• Begin all prayer with praise.
• Praise esteems God for greatness and virtue3. FORGIVENESS:
• Matthew 6:14-15
• Nothing blocks your spiritual progress more fatally than an unforgiving spirit.
• Forgiveness is a complete pouring out of any feeling that might develop against anyone during the day4. CONFESSION:
• Psalm 139:23-24
• Psalm 66:18
• If you hide sin in your heart God will not hear you
• Rid yourself of sin and you will clear the road for POWER PRAYER.5. PETITION:
• James 4:2-3
• Matthew 6:9-13
• This aspect of prayer deals with our personal needs6. PRAY THE WORD:
• Personally apply, out loud, Scriptures that back up your requests to God
• God’s word will NOT return void!
• His ears are tuned to someone reminding Him of His word!7. INTERCESSION:
• 1 Timothy 2:1-2
• Matthew 9:37-38
• Intercession is prayer for others8. READ THE BIBLE:
• 2 Timothy 3:16
• Read the Bible during prayer
• The word is enlightening to the eyes (Psalm 19:8)
• This is how Jesus talks to us, through His word9. MEDITATION:
• Psalm 1:1-2
• Psalm 77:12; Take time to “think on these things”
• God will open your understanding
• This can also take place while you are reading your Bible10. LISTENING:
• Psalm 100:2
• Ephesians 5:19 Singing refreshes the soul
• Try singing in the Spirit11. THANKSGIVING:
• 1 Kings 19:11-12 Prayer is not all talking to God
• Prayer is also listening12. PRAISE:
• Matthew 6:13
• Conclude every prayer with praise
